GP Urgent Care

Not all urgencies are emergencies! Ellen Health is pleased to arrange urgent care for patients.

There is now the option of healthcare for non-emergency situations at Ellen Health. There is no need to wait in busy emergency departments for minor injury and illness. (Please still go to hospital in an emergency).

Injuries and illnesses that can be treated at Ellen Health as a GP Urgent Care clinic include:

minor fractures, sports injuries and minor neck and back pain
cuts and lacerations, mild burns and rashes, bites and insect stings
gastrointestinal illnesses
illnesses of the eye, ear, nose and throat
other urgent medical symptoms such as urinary tract infections, wound infections and abdominal pain

During our opening hours please call (08) 9239 0200 to discuss your requirements for urgent care, either at the surgery or via a home visit. Our nurse will triage the call. Depending on availability, an appointment will be arranged with an Ellen Health doctor, or a locum doctor.

We have a relationship with the not-for-profit WA Deputising Medical Service (WADMS). Doctor Home Visits is a service provided by WADMS and exists solely to offer patients home medical care both in-hours and after-hours on behalf of their own GP 365 days of the year. Outside of normal consulting hours, please call WADMS directly on 9321 9133.

Private Phone Consulting Service

Ellen Health offers a private telephone consulting service: phone 9239 0235.

Fees for this service are $50 for a standard and $90 for a long telephone consultation.

Medicare rebates are not available for telephone or internet consultations.

Outside of normal consulting hours, please call WADMS directly on 9321 9133.

Please Note:

Children 12 years and under will be Bulk Billed between 9am and 5pm on Weekdays. There is no Bulk Billing or discounted rates available outside of usual business hours (9am-5pm weekdays). Higher fees apply from 8pm weeknights, 12 noon Saturday, Sunday and public holidays.
