Leigh Kelly is a Registered Psychologist with AHPRA and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
Leigh has experience in working with trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, grief and loss and relationship issues. Leigh is devoted to providing an approachable and flexible therapy experience by tailoring treatments to meet adults and adolescent’s personal goals and needs. Utilising neuroscience and behavioural and mindfulness-based therapies, Leigh aims to help his clients not only manage and resolve the issues that they present with but to also cultivate deep meaning and purposefulness in their lives. His approach is holistic, thorough, warm and friendly.
Leigh has also been trained in other evidence based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema therapy and psychodynamic therapy.
Clinical experience and background
Leigh obtained his Psychology qualification through Murdoch University and has worked over several years in non-for profit organisations and private practice using his clinical skills to assist a diverse range of clients across the lifespan. Furthermore, he has created and run successful men’s groups targeted towards mental health, well-being and modern day masculinity issues. He is also a qualified personal trainer and draws on his knowledge of psychology, health and fitness and mindfulness to help people to understand their strengths, improve self-awareness and increase their sense of happiness and fulfilment.
