Dr Jaskolski says “I absolutely love being a GP, and I take pride in developing strong relationships with my patients and their families and taking a holistic approach to health care. I have special interests in child health, antenatal care up to 20 weeks, pregnancy planning, contraception including long acting contraceptive implants, and fertility and women's health. I am also interested in preventative health and nutrition, chronic health care especially diabetes management and indigenous health”
She completed the majority of her hospital years covering a wide variety of specialities at Sir Charles Gairdner hospital. These included ICU, CCU, Emergency, surgical and medical terms as well as a community palliative care with Silver Chain. Dr. Jaskolski then worked at Princess Margaret hospital and this is where she discovered a love for paediatrics. She has also worked extensively in the country including a paediatric rotation in Alice springs, a GP year in Roebourne at the Mawarnkarra aboriginal health service (receiving the community medicine award in 2011) as well as some time in the Torres Strait on Thursday island.
She is proud to call herself a Freo local after moving to the port city in 2013. “My husband and I love the beach lifestyle and I enjoy keeping fit with running, swimming, touch rugby and yoga and hope to complete my first triathalon in 2017 after becoming a mum this year. In previous years we have participated in Tough Mudder, Mudd Rush, the Rottnest swim, port to pub, and the city to surf. We are also keen foodies and love cooking and finding great new places to eat wonderful local produce when we aren't trying to grow our own!”
