Michelle was born and raised in Perth, and completed her medical degree at the University of Western Australia in 2008 before completing her internship and resident year at Fremantle Hospital. She then travelled Australia in a caravan with her now husband (and nurse), working as an emergency doctor in many rural and regional locations including Broken Hill, Mount Isa, Mildura, Darwin, Albury, Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour, Latrobe, Nowra, Bathurst and Burnie. She then settled in Devonport, Tasmania where she undertook her GP training, had two children and renovated a house! She has a passion for lifestyle and preventative medicine and has run several community health programs including plant-based cooking classes, The Complete Health Improvement Program (CHIP) and is a trained facilitator for the Neil Nedley Depression Recovery Program. Michelle recently returned home to Perth with her young family and 3 cats, and looks forward to getting to know the local community.
