Sebastian Henderson

About

Sebastian studied a Bachelor of Counselling at the University of Notre Dame in Fremantle, with the goal of working in the Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) sector. He completed his placement with Palmerston in Fremantle, working in conjunction with Next Step at the Community Alcohol and Drug Service. Upon completion of his placement, Sebastian was employed by Palmerston as a Counsellor / Educator where he has worked ever since.

Sebastian later took on additional roles as a Diversion Officer for Fremantle Court’s AOD Diversion Program, an initiative managed by the Mental Health Commission, and the Department of Justice. Additionally, Sebastian is a member of the Rainbow Community Advocacy Committee within Palmerston, helping to bridge divides between services and community specific support needs.

In 2020 Sebastian started providing free AOD counselling at Ellen Health, as an outreach worker on behalf of Palmerston, which he passionately continues to provide. If you or a loved one have alcohol or other drug concerns, you are welcome to speak to your GP or the receptionist about booking an appointment with Sebastian.
