Dr Courtney Taylor is your classic local doctor. Born and raised country WA he studied at both the University of Western Australia and the University of Notre Dame Fremantle and remains a Fremantle local. Dr Taylor works at The Skin Cancer Practice on Monday’s, Thursday’s and Friday’s and Ellen Health on Wednesdays

His initial training in surgical fields prior to moving into General Practice, has given Courtney enhanced skills and interest in skin cancer removals, injury management, trauma and wound healing.

Having degrees in Population health and also Sport, Exercise and Health prior to medicine Courtney strives to provide preventative and holistic care to each patient.

Dr Nathalie Departe

Dr Nathalie Departe joined Ellen Health in July 2014. Previously she worked as a GP in Geraldton, Fremantle GP after hours service and Coolbellup Medical Centre. Dr Departe enjoys the variety and scope of general practice, and the opportunity to get to know and care for all family members.  She practises holistic, evidence based medicine and loves being part of the Ellen health team.  Dr Departe lives in Fremantle with her husband.  She enjoys keeping fit by walking, skiing (all too rarely), cycling, doing (very short!) triathlons and running after her small (but fast) son.

Dr Departe studied medicine at the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne (UK), graduating in 2000.  She completed her GP training in the north of England and worked in various practices in Yorkshire before moving to sunny WA in 2009.

Jille Burns

In 2011 Ellen Health were delighted to be one of the first practices in WA to welcome an independent nurse practitioner with Medicare rebates and expertise in nutritional and environmental medicine.

Jille is a Registered Nurse completing her initial training at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, and then a Bachelor of Applied Science and Post Graduate Diploma in Health Science at Curtin University. Jille is also a Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) and holds further qualifications in nutritional and environmental medicine.

Jille received Fellowship of the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine in 2018 and Fellowship of the Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine in 2020.

As a Nurse Practitioner the approach is collaborative and holistic with an emphasis on lifestyle medicine.

Nutritional and Environmental Medicine

Nutrition and environmental health is a rapidly evolving field.

Nutritional and Environmental Medicine is about understanding how your body works best by identifying nutritional and lifestyle hurdles and developing a strategy to bridge nutritional gaps and improve general wellbeing.

As part of this service, Jille can advise on hormone health including thyroid and menopause, dementia prevention, cardiovascular risk factor management such as high cholesterol, and high blood pressure, weight management including metabolic syndrome, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), diabetes, allergies, asthma, reoccurring infection, auto immune and many other similar conditions.

Jille is committed to helping people reduce the likelihood of developing chronic illness by managing high risk, lifestyle behaviours. In order to deliver a comprehensive service, Jille also collaborates with other allied health services and specialists to develop individualised and effective health solutions.

Lifestyle Medicine

Lifestyle medicine bridges the gap between health promotion and conventional medicine and involves a selection of treatments to prevent, manage and treat the health problems that have a lifestyle-based cause.

Chronic Disease Management

Jille equips people living with chronic disease with the skills and knowledge they need to effectively manage their conditions now and well into the future. Learning how to ‘self-manage’ chronic conditions is the key to living a long and healthy life

Training and Motivational Speaking

Jille runs training courses and seminars for health practitioners including Doctors, Nurse Practitioners and Registered Nurses and other health professionals interested in learning more about and applying nutritional medicine in daily clinical practice. Jille is also available to speak to community groups, organisations or businesses about the basis of nutritional medicine and its application in daily life.

Jessica Wilkes

Drug and Alcohol Councillor

With a background in Visual Arts and Education (Registered Teacher), I completed a Master of Counselling
and a Graduate Diploma in Creative Arts Therapies through Murdoch University. I am registered as a
Counsellor with ACA (Level 2) and an Art Therapist with ANZACATA. I began working in the AOD sector with
Palmerston and the integrated services of South Metro Community Alcohol and Drug Services (SMCADS)
January 2022, expanding on my interest in trauma informed provision of judgement free, Person-centered
counselling. I engage an integrated approach informed by ACT, CBT, DBT, IFS, motivational interviewing
and mindfulness body-based theories and processes that support clients in moving towards what is most
important to them as an individual currently. I am passionate about whole being wellness and preventative
approaches
alongside providing support for those who are on a recovery journey of any kind.
